BRANCH WARREN WINS 2011 ARNOLD CLASSIC BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

(Dallas, Texas) Branch Warren, based in Dallas, Texas, has won the 2011 Arnold Classic on Saturday night March 5, 2011 in Columbus Ohio. Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger presented Branch the overall winner trophy.

Branch Warren first competed in 1992 when he won the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Teenage Mr. America competition. His first National Physique Committee (NPC) event was the Teenage Nationals, where he won again. His first IFBB event was at the 2004 Night of Champions competitions, where he placed 8th. His first Mr. Olympia was in 2005, where he placed 8th. The following year, in 2006, he competed in his first Arnold Classic for a 2nd place finish. While slipping to 7th place in 2007, he improved to 4th place in 2008 and 3rd in 2009, while winning the title of "Most Muscular". Branch Warren placed 12th in his 2nd Mr. Olympia contest in 2006. Branch Warren also placed 1st at the 2007 New York Pro.


Arnold Sports Festival Overview

With 46 sports and events, including 13 Olympic sports, the 2011 Arnold Sports Festival presents fitness and fun for all ages March 3-6, 2011. The festival has expanded into the world’s largest multi-sport fitness weekend since its 1989 beginning as The Arnold Classic as a one-day professional men’s bodybuilding competition.

About 175,000 sports fans are expected to see 18,000 athletes compete in a variety of more than 40 sports and events at 10 premier venues: the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Franklin County Veterans Memorial, LC Pavilion, Nationwide Arena, Dispatch Ice Haus, Arena Grand Movie Theater the Ohio State University's French Field House and three Chiller ice rinks (Dublin, North and Easton).
